Thank you for your interest in donating to Shoes 2 Share and supporting our goal of providing shoes to those in need. The shoe & monetary donations help us complete our mission, on a much bigger scale, from the humble beginnings of shoe filled suitcases, just over 3 years ago. We have expanded our warehouse space to accommodate the abundance of shoe donations. As we develop our 2009 calendar it will also reflect our new monthly volunteer days during which we prepare the shoes for distribution. Our beneficiary list has expanded, and we've been able to provide shoes to programs in Haiti, Belize, St. Lucia, Phillipines, Ukraine and Africa, as well as, several domestic programs.
Again, we are appreciative of your support in helping us to provide children & their families in great need of footwear. You are such a blessing to us. We hope and pray for your continued support.
For large quantity donations, please click Guidelines for Shoe Drives for more information.
For individual or small donations please use the following guidlines when donating:
A. Types of Shoes Needed (but not limited to) - New or "like New", all sizes & gender; sneakers; sturdy sandals; spikes; any sturdy boot or shoe; children's black dress shoes. No roller shoes or iceskates. Most groups collect shoes in large Rubbermaid containers & donate them along with the shoes. Sturdy boxes work well & heavy duty garbage bags also. See "Sorting" below for more information on preparing the shoes as best as possible before we receive them. New shoe laces, socks & shoe polish to dress up the donated shoes are also appreciated.
B. Sorting - Sorting your donations into categories, is so helpful to us upon receiving them. We have a system that can be completed in levels. The quantity of your donations usually determines the category level that can be sorted. Please find our online file "Sorting System Guideline" to print out & follow any or all of the 1st - 4th categories & label all groups.
C. Monetary donations - Donations are needed for overall expenses, especially shipping. Our ministry is completely funded by donations & is only possible by the help of others. Please consider fundraising with your shoe collection in order to get the shoes delivered. One easy & fun example: collect loose change in a large shoe or boot lined with a plastic bag or large jar at your school, business, youth group, outreach program or sporting event to collect "Funds for Footwear" or "Cents for Shoes".

We go through four to five pounds of rubber bands on an average volunteer day.
